So a seed was planted... thanks to my husband, who said, "Well, start one yourself!" And Stitch Box Monthly was born in February 2014! I knew there were probably lots of people out there who would love the idea of getting sewing surprises in the mail each month, and with all the Facebook sewing groups I'm in and have seen, there are thousands of people sewing things other than quilts! There are those new to the craft, as well as seasoned sewists (sewers, seamstresses, dress-makers... terminology is probably a whole other blog post!), those new to PDF patterns, and some who just want to add to their fabric stash!
I knew I wanted to offer designer fabrics that can't be purchased at local craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Joann's, because they are such amazing quality and gorgeous prints. Fabrics like these!
Now let's talk about this month's boxes! I had so many orders this month that we sold out the fabric collection I was including! So there are two collections and you received either Daysail by Bonnie and Camille with adorable navy and red flowers and tiny aqua dots (and a matching navy coordinate), or Bandana by Me and My Sister Designs with blue and aqua bows and a matching cherry coordinate! Two yards of brand new Spring fabric...

Also, I've always said you'll receive at least one yard of designer fabric but guess what? I'm upping it to two! Each month you'll find two or more yards of coordinating fabrics! That might mean that sometimes your Stitch BOX gets shipped in a BAG, because I can fit more in the padded envelopes than the smaller boxes and I want to keep your shipping costs down. But Stitch Bag Monthly just doesn't have the same ring to it, so just look past the shipping container to the goodness within!
Let me know what you think, and if you have an idea for an upcoming box, or a designer you'd like to see featured! Email me at StitchBoxMonthly@gmail.com
Thank you so much for all your support, and I can't wait to see what Year 2 brings! Now, that's enough nostalgia for one day, let's go stitch up something awesome!
